We are Cabar Feidh, a Scottish Bagpipe
Band. We are a group of musicians dedicated to the preservation of
Scottish tradition through the music of the Great Highland Bagpipe.
Our group performs in parades, in
concerts, at weddings or funerals, or at any other type of function that
you desire a unique form of entertainment.
Our group is open to all age groups
from teens to seniors, male or female, who are willing to make a commitment
to the Band and make a diligent effort to improve their musicianship through
practice. We are always on the lookout for prospective pipers and
drummers.
We wear the Modern Wilson tartan,
and dress as a civilian band. Our uniform consists of a Glengary,
white shirt with a black fore-in-hand tie a black Day jacket. A traditional
kilt finishes off the uniform along with a black leather sporran, hand
knit knee length hose and Ghillie brogues.
Once a member has satisfied the
Pipe major that they can successfully play a required number of tunes they
are outfitted with a complete uniform, from head to toe, and can take their
place in the ranks, performing at any and all functions.
We meet at the First Presbyterian
Church 529 Hendrie Blvd., in Royal Oak on Tuesday evenings during the Fall,
Winter and Spring at 7 P.M. If you are interested in joining our
group or getting more information you can call Stan Jarman at (248)-549-4871.
If you wish to hire our group for your function please call our Bus. Mgr.
