CARING FOR YOU...CARING FOR ME
The Cheek Lecture Series: “Caring for
You…Caring for Me” was a great success.
Those who were able to attend enjoyed each other’s company and
learned a great deal. We would
like to thank the Session, Trustees and Deacons and many others for their
willingness to provide volunteer service both Friday and Saturday.
Starting in the new year we will be looking at attendance records on a
weekly basis, focusing on our older members.
If there is a noticeable lapse in attendance, we hope to follow up and
make a personal contact. This is
possible because we are now able to connect into the Shelby computer program;
which is a software program our church uses to maintain all types of records.
How this affects you: it is very important that you sign the attendance pad
each Sunday (conversely, don’t sign it and we’ll call you and we can
chat!!).
We are appreciative that many of you are now contacting us with your pastoral
care concerns. We cannot support
the staff, Deacons and Stephen Ministers in providing care if we do not know
the needs that exist.
